Whirlpool W10237169 Pump Motor for Dishwasher

Whirlpool W10237169 Pump Motor for Dishwasher

Whirlpool W10237169 Pump Motor for Dishwasher
Excellent Replacement!!
This worked great and it has ALL of the parts that you need, including the disposal blade. I was very pleased with the quality. As another poster pointed out, you must lubricate the seal to work this into place. I used vegetable oil and it worked like a charm! Getting this into place is a two person job. One person must push it in place from the inside of the washer, while the other person guides it in place from the outside of the washer. That was really the only tough part. Several weeks later and the dishwasher works like it did when I bought it!

Whirlpool Gold = Perfect Fit
I purchased a new Whirlpool Gold Dishwasher in Sep '08 and it stopped working in Jan '13. I went to a few stores to look at new dishwashers and decided to try to fix my appliance prior to buying a new one. I located the part # of my dishwasher and found the substitute part # of W10237169. Purchase was quick and easy with one step buying at Amazon. The motor arrived 2 days after purchase from HomeAppliancePart. I watched a few video's and had everything done in around 40 minutes. No extra parts required and the dishwasher works like new. If I had to install it again I would have lubricated the outer seal to ease the install process.

I highly recommend Amazon and HomeAppliancePart.

Perfect replacement part
Replaced my Kenmore Elite Dishwasher pump motor assembly, part number 8572615. Works flawlessly. Be sure to use soapy water around the main gasket to get the assembly to seat properly-- that was probably the hardest part during the installation.

Bosch SHE3AR55UC Ascenta 24" Stainless Steel Full Console Dishwasher - Energy Star

Bosch SHE3AR55UC Ascenta 24" Stainless Steel Full Console Dishwasher - Energy Star

Bosch SHE3AR55UC Ascenta 24
Rusts on the inside; stains on the outside
Two years after purchasing Bosch's "stainless" steel "rust-free" dishwasher with a "lifetime warranty" against rust, we discovered... rust. It was in a very specific area, where the metal filter attaches to the interior tub. We called Bosch and were told that it was our fault, that it was our water, our dishwasher soap, our flatware--anything but the dishwasher. We persisted, explaining that we use a water softener and a reverse-osmosis system and that our water is no worse, and probably a bit better, than average. Furthermore, if it was merely our water, then we would expect to see rust everywhere. As for our dishwasher soap--well--it comes from Costco, and I'm sure they'd take exception to Bosch's claim that it promotes rust. We offered our own theory, which is that the metal used in the filter is dissimilar to the metal in the tub, resulting in a galvanic reaction and corrosion to the metals. Basically, the two different metals, pressed together in an aqueous environment, results...

My 2nd Bosch
This is the 2nd Bosch washer I have bought from a local home improvement store. The first one was an entry level back at our old house replacing a noisy cheapo whirlpool in 2006. We bought Bosch because of how quiet they ran. Now in our current home we are replacing another cheapo whirlpool (dead) with another entry level Bosch but the price point is a couple of hundred less than 5 years ago. First, this has a stainless tub with a plastic bottom, whereas the old one was all stainless.

Now we get to how quiet it runs - on my old Bosch you had to put your ear next to the washer to hear it - the new one you don't have to, you can hear it pretty clearly but i would not describe it as loud by any means - you will not have to adjust the volume of a TV set in the kitchen or have to talk over it. I would guess its on par with or a bit better than most dishwashers at this price point. I am guessing Bosch is now using how quiet a washer is to set price points on their washers...

Excellent Value
Great dishwasher at a great price. Gets dishes squeaky clean. Plenty of features for what I need - You can set "Extra Dry Heat" cycle and set the amount of rinse agent. I use "Auto Wash" function with Extra Dry Heat off and it figures out cycle strength, wash time and amount of water on its own. Dishes are still hot to the touch when unloading a half hour after complete. It's quiet so I don't have to turn up the TV anymore when the dishwasher is going.

Cuisinart PSC-350 3-1/2-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker

Cuisinart PSC-350 3-1/2-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker
Not really programmable, but better than average quality.
This cooker has a digital timer that you can set to cook at your chosen setting (Simmer, Low, High) for any time up to 24 hours. At the end of the set cooking time, it automatically switches to Warm, and then switches itself off after another eight hours. IMO, a truly "Programmable" cooker would change heat settings during cooking, and perhaps have a delayed start function; this unit does neither.

On the other hand, the Simmer setting is what's missing from some other slow cookers, and perhaps that's why foods get burned. This cooker heats to 185

Perfect replacement
My Kenmore washer stopped working and displayed an error code that indicated that the drain cycle was too long. When I checked the drain pump, I found a dime and a penny in the pump housing which had destroyed the impeller vanes. While waiting on the phone for 15 minutes for an appliance parts store to even answer, I decided to check Amazon and found this part.

So far so good
This was the exact part we needed after washing machine leaked during a wash one day.(Thank goodness for the smart purchase of a big plastic square mat under it!!!) Anyway, a quarter ended up being the culprit to damaging the old one. Wondered what that sound was for months! New part works perfectly! Shipment was prompt as well....laundry was piling up!!! Good product!

Whirlpool Kenmore Washer Pump W10217134
As many have mentioned, we found our washer leaking water and traced it back to this pump. I removed the pump to find 3 dimes and what was left of the fan shroud. I immediately searched google for the part number followed by leaking and found that Amazon sold the replacement. This pump can be removed and installed in less than 15mins if you're handy and has been working flawlessly every since it arrived from Amazon. This product gets 5 stars!!!!

Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine

Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine

Bosch Universal Plus Kitchen Machine
Bringing the power tool mentaility to your kitchen
Bosch has really designed a powerhouse here. 6 months ago, when I wanted to buy a stand mixer to replace a basic Sunbeam from years ago, I thought "Of course, I'm finally going to get that Kitchenaid I saw in the kitchen store all those years ago, but couldn't afford. That's the real deal." Then I read the reviews on Amazon, and read the Yahoo Mixer-Owners list and some other bread making lists. With the amount of complaints I saw, and the prohibitions in the manual against using too much flour or to high a speed or whatever, I decided I needed to keep looking.

Enter the Bosch. The reviews and youtube videos showed that the way you know how much flour / dough you can make in this - when the bowl is full! That's the sort of obvious scenario I like! The Bosch Universal Plus (BUP) also has quite the reputation for lasting forever. So far, I have no reason to doubt that. I've done 6 loves of bread at once in this, and it's never gotten hot, shut down or even slowed down. I've...

Mixing: Excellent, Cleanup: Ugh...
This mixer is powerful. You have the main unit where you attach your bowl, and a secondary unit where you can attach a blender.

There are many, many accessories you can buy for this unit. Be sure if you buy accessories you buy for the correct unit as accessories for this model are NOT interchangeable with Bosch's previous all-in-one machine! I've already had to return one attachment because I made this mistake. Look for accessories that have a model number starting with MUZ6!

This machine tears up just about any food you throw at it. When you turn it on you can get the feel for the full 800 watts of power it is capable of by it's roaring sound. You may need to run to your circuit breakers to find a suitable plug for the unit, since 800watts is just about the limit most circuit breakers can take. It's doubtful you can run this unit along with another kitchen appliance at the same time in the same receptacle.

Cleanup is not fun, not fun at all. I...

best money I've ever spent
Last year I bought the new Bosch mixer. I've never had a stand mixer, but I read the reviews and talked to a few people who are serious cooks/bakers. So I spent the extra money and got the Bosch instead of some less expensive brands. I'm so glad I did!
I have used the mixer mostly for whole wheat bread. The motor is so powerful and efficient that it doesn't even slow down kneading the stiff dough. I can easily mix fresh ground flour (using up to 15 cups!), and get 4 huge loaves of bread (or 5 smaller loaves). I've baked bread every week since I bought the mixer. Haven't bought any at the store.
I've also used the mixer for huge batches of cookies, brownies & mashed potatoes. No sweat. I use the blender too, but not as often as the mixer.
I love it, my family loves it, and my only regret is that I've gone so long w/o one.

Amana Tall Tub Dishwasher, ADB1400PYS, Stainless

Amana Tall Tub Dishwasher, ADB1400PYS, Stainless
not as good as it's rated
i purchased this unit on the recommendations of Amazon user reviews and from another site. For four hundred bucks i guess i shouldn't have expected much. It didn't have the features of the one it replaced, but I wasn't looking for a full-featured machine as I never used many of them anyway. Right away, as soon as i installed it, I noticed that it seems smaller than my old one- maybe it is, but not by much, but it is noticeable. Once hooked up, (and checked for leaks), we ran it through a cycle and there is water and suds all over the floor. Upon further investigation, placing my hand up inside the door, the insulation is all wet. Great.
Doing more investigative work by running the unit again, produced no leaks, but the dishes were filmy and not at all clean. running the unit again on a high temp wash took care of the film, but this unit seems not to want to fully clean a dish- something the old unit did without a problem. Thinking I had solved the leaking problem, I continue to...

Amazing for the money!
We love this dishwasher! It is very quiet, and does the job! We were debating buying a Bosch, but got worried about all the comments about rust and drying. Boy are glad we chose the lower priced unit! And our retailer had it to us in a few days! Could not be happier!

i wish it was bigger
This dishwasher is small on the inside and i am not able to put as many dishes in it as an old dishwasher at my apartment. The first time I used this product, it left food product on some of the dishes and that was after I rinsed them. I did not have the same problem on second and third washes so I'm not sure what the problem was. Overall it is a decent product for the price but small. I am single and I think it is small so if you have a family getting a bigger unit would be ideal.

So far so good....knock wood
I have had this range for a little over two years and I am an avid cook. In fact I am a brand ambassador for an online cooking site and I test, rate and review recipes constantly. After reading the previous reviews, I am hesitant to give a good review. I knocked wood, so here I go. First of all, I will agree with some of the complaints. The right front and left rear burners are not powerful, but I do find them handy for slow simmers. I do brush up against the electronic panel on occasion and consequently the cue lights for various operations will come up. I just hit the cancel button because I am used to it now. I have been very satisfied with the oven. I love to bake. The temperature on mine, runs consistently accurate and it is very roomy. All that being said, I think customer service for all Whirlpool manufactured lines, Including KitchenAid suck. I bought a matching french door frig. and dishwasher that have had some issues. I did buy an extended warranty thank god, cuz the...

Junk!
We purchased this kitchenaid range two years ago when we built our house. We wanted a range with a gas stovetop and an electric oven. This unit appeared to fit the bill perfectly, and we had always been pleased with our kitchenaid mixer.

Ownership of this monster has been a nightmare. It broke within the first couple of weeks. The oven just blinked an "error" message on the screen. Fixing it the first time took MANY months. While this first set of problems was covered under warranty, it required someone to stay home from work to let the repairman in. It took at least a dozen visits from the repair shop before it was finally working.

Just last week the heating element went out in the oven. This is a stove barely two years old. Again, it was somewhat of an ordeal to get it fixed, and this time it was not under warranty.

When you read the brochure, this range has all the bells and whistles you could possibly want. The problem is that since we have had it...

A terrible oven
We have owned this range for 20 months and have had constant problems. First, the oven thermostat would not work when the power burner was on. Then, the oven thermostat blew when we used the automatic cleaning feature. Now, the meat probe is too unreliable to be used at all; the oven temperature still fluctuates so wildly that a 375 degree setting will actually be under 340 or over 410 on a separate thermometer placed in the oven, and if the oven preheats at all it takes about 20 minutes to reach an alleged temperature of 350 and then never alerts you that it is hot. I am afraid to try to clean the oven again because the repairman told me we would blow the thermostat every time we used that feature. Three of the gas burners are okay and have a good simmer feature, but the front right burner has such a low btu output that the burner is almost useless.

This range has a versatile TripleTier ® burner that can handle any task from simmering to searing - all on one burner. The oven includes a variety of easy to use features such as the Even-Heat ™ True Convection System, which delivers exceptional, even cooking on all three racks - no rotation required.

  • 4.1 Cu. Ft. Capacity
  • Even-Heat(TM) True Convection System provides even heating throughout oven
  • EasyConvect(TM) Time and Temperature Conversion System takes the guesswork out of convection cooking
  • Enhanced self-clean cycle includes an energy-saving quick setting
  • TripleTier(R) BTU burner handles everything from simmering to searing

so far so good
Have the ss model of this purchased at hd competitor. Pros: really quiet, clean install and look, roomy and super clean dishes--wife really likes the red light that shows the unit is in the middle of a wash

Will report back after we've had it for a couple weeks/months but wanted to get a first review up here for folks to respond to and ask questions if they wanted

Commenter asked...
Paid under 800 and install was $150 + $20 or so for hose that is required. Very clean install and took guy 1.5 to 2 hours.

2 weeks in still veyr happy with this unit. It's pricey but we wanted something good that would last a while. We have a 9 month old and this cleans the bottles pretty well and the various silicone nipples and parts to pumps etc. You need to get them in the right place by trial and error but it works well once you do. The dishes come out really clean--this machine is a pleasure to use and the wife agrees.

Super Quiet and Efficient
The dishwasher that came with our house was very loud and it didn't clean very well. I did a lot of online research and decided on Bosch as it received good consumer reports. This dishwasher has not disappointed us. It has all of the features that we need and it is extremely quiet. This was incredibly important as our kitchen is open to the family room. With the old machine we had to really turn up the volume to hear the tv....not anymore!

We had one instance of flooding in our kitchen. We found that the dishwasher is sensitive to hardwater. This caused a buildup in one of the lines that caused a great deal of water to leak out. The problem was easily resolved by the repair company and hasn't happened since.

Love it so far...takes some getting used to though...
When we moved into our 5 year old house there was a GE dishwasher installed (I assume it was the original one that was put in when the house was built). It was terrible...was loud enough that you could hear it in every room of the house and running it on the auto cycle resulted in dirty dishes without fail. We had to load it in a very specific way and also activate several of the 'optional' cycles (heated start, heated wash and sanitize) in order to get clean dishes...this resulted in a run time of about 3 1/2 hours. We finally decided to replace it...read a bunch of reviews, talked to a family member who had recently replaced her dishwasher and finally decided on this model. Overall I'm very happy we did! Very quiet (though not totally 'silent' as some have said), super clean dishes, really nice looking on the inside and out, versatile rack design (that takes some getting used to..more on that later).

I figured I'd just address a couple of the common complaints that...

Bosch Universal Plus Mixer with Blender Combo

Bosch Universal Plus Mixer with Blender Combo

Bosch Universal Plus Mixer with Blender Combo
Wonderful heavy-duty household mixer
I have now had my Bosch for a couple of years. The model I have is a slightly more powerful (1000W) European version with the metal bowl, but otherwise it is the same. It replaces a much-loved Kitchen Aid mixer which I had in the States. I must say that as much as I loved my Kitchen Aid, this Bosch model outperforms it as well as many other mixers. My first impression of the machine upon using it to make bread was that it was way too easy. After using industry-grade Hobart machines, Kitchen Aid, Electrolux, and Kenwood for many years in work and home, I was amazed at how well and effortlessly the Bosch kneaded the dough. I have not one time need to scrape down the sides and there is no spillage.

The capacity is truly enough to make 4 loaves of bread at a time. The lid performs wonderfully, leaving no place for ingredients to escape. Further, the removable part of the lid allows the most space for adding ingredients of all home machines which I have tried. As comparisons: I...

So far so good!
I just sold my kitchenaid and purchased this machine a few weeks ago. I love it so far. A few things I love are the suction cups on the bottom so that the machine stays in place as it works on bigger batches. I recommend you store it on it's side, (there are rubber pads on the side to store it this way.) It seems like if you store it flat the suction cups will wear out faster. It is a more compact design than before, which is nice, but I am hoping it will hold up like other models have. A lot of people complain that there are a lot of pieces to clean, I don't mind the cleaning aspect, but virtually everything is dishwasher safe if that's an issue for you. (I always hand wash mine because I think it holds up better.) It's a larger capacity mixer and does a better job with my doughs than any other mixer I've used. .

The BEST on the market
After going through several of the Kitchenaid 600 Professional mixers over the past few years, I finally had enough and returned my last Kitchenaid mixer and bought a Bosch Universal Plus.. It was the best decision I have made. My Kitchenaid motor was getting hot just mixing up ONE loaf of bread, keeping with the 4 minute knead time that Kitchenaid suggests. After getting the Bosch, I was amazed at how effortlessly it mixed up 4 loaves of bread - it was the best experience I have had with a mixer. It is much easier to clean than my Kitchenaid and easier to use. I typically make a minimum of 3 loaves of bread every week, sometimes more, and needed a mixer that could handle that with no problems - my wish was granted. I love all the attachments that are available as well - with the powerful motor, the blender works amazingly and again was easy to clean. I would highly recommend this mixer - you won't be sorry with this purchase!

More than 60 years of high quality and trust designed for your kitchen. From baking to blending it has attachments to satisfy your every kitchen need. With an 800 watt motor and a 6.5 quart bowl, it is one of the most powerful machines in its class. Belt Drive Transmission and Suction feet for stability. Dozens of Attachments and Accessories available. Ergonomic, unique, modern design. 100% BPA Free

  • 6.5 Quart Bowl holds up to 15 pounds of dough
  • Includes Mixer, Wire Whips, Dough Hook, Bowl, Splash ring & Blender.

Bosch SHE3AR72UC Ascenta 24" White Full Console Dishwasher - Energy Star

Bosch SHE3AR72UC Ascenta 24
Almost Perfect Dishwasher, with a few minor annoyances
Overall, the Bosch SHE3AR72UC is a great dishwasher and I'm very happy with it. First, you have to understand the model numbers - the SHX models have hidden controls and the SHE models have front panel controls (both are very easy to use). The AR7 has an LED display a few more cycle options than the AR5. But the important thing is that all the different combinations in the "Ascenta" series have the exact same innards so you should read the reviews of all of them as they are pretty much the same unit.

The dishwasher cleans very well - probably the best cleaning of any dishwasher I've ever used. No complaints there. And it's VERY quiet, which is nice.

Contrary to what was said by other reviewers about the dishwashers in this series, I have not had any problems with spotting in the slightest, even with the rinse agent set to use the minimum amount. I think that might be a function of the water quality (we never used a rinse agent at all with our previous dishwasher...

This Dishwasher is awesome!
I'm the one that unloads the dishwasher in our house.

Cleaning:
When I unloaded our old Maytag, I would have to rewash 30% of the dishes because they didn't come clean. This dishwasher is 100% clean over 3 loads so far! All the dishes are cleaner than anything that came out of the Maytag. The dishes are very HOT when it's done.

Noise:
We couldn't watch TV with the Maytag running. Not a problem with this one. This dishwasher is so quiet that we only really notice it when the water is draining.

Installation:
It took me about 2 hours to remove the old machine and install this one. That included a trip to Home Depot to buy the water line adapter. (The only piece of hardware I had to buy.) The directions were very clear. The hardest part was getting the thing level because it was a snug fit under the counter.

I would recommend this dishwasher to anyone.

Glad I bought it
It took me two or three days to research washing machines. I decided on this one and got it locally at about the same price with free set up and delivery. The reviews on Amazon are so very helpful. I have had this machine a couple weeks. My old machine died electronically and the start button failed. The nite before this one was delivered, it came back to life!! But it was 25 years old and my dishes did not sparkle. Now they do. I didn't want another electronic panel, but there is little choice these days. Dishes are very clean, and sparkly. Pretty easy to use. More options than I need. I agree the tines are very close together but a row on the top and the bottom fold down for bigger items. The top shelf is adjustable up and down and completely removable which is big plus when I want to wash my big pots that I could never fit it the dishwasher before. The machine does stop when finished but the on off button is on and needs to be manually shut off. I don't understand why that is...
