Fisher Paykel 24 In. Stainless Steel Built-In Double Drawer Dishwasher- DD24DCTX7
Great Customer Service
I bought this about 6 months ago and have been pleasantly surprised, as I read the review on last years model and saw they had a challenge with customer service. I was curious as to wether or not I could use the tab soap, (you can now)they were polite and helpful. The double drawers are convienient....especially when one drawer is clean and you don't have time to unload prior to throwing more in the other drawer.

Love my new dishwasher!
I was very excited to see that this was in the new home we bought, I have wanted to have the drawers as they seem as if they would be convienient...they are. I love the fact that I can run a small load at any time. My dishes are always clean and dry and I love how quiet it is.

Not up to the task
I have a Fisher & Paykel DD603 two drawer dishwasher.

Pros; It's very quiet when operating.
The top drawer gets used most because no bending.
External cosmetics are good.
Easy to disassemble components to clean.

Cons; Large plates don't fit.
The effect of oversize plates is to prevent to top from sealing during operation which allows water to flood the circuitry in the base.
Bottom drawer is smaller than the top drawer, meaning fewer/smaller articles can be washed.
There are only squirter arms at the bottom of each drawer, so higher items don't get washed.
Light items like Tupperware get thrown around making a noise and leaving them full of dish water.
Filter is manually cleaned. It gets badly clogged and is a mess to clean. Ugh!
Plastic interior walls get a lot of scum buildup with hard water, and look awful.
Small holes in the detergent dispenser sometimes clog.
A lot of "push two buttons and hold for 5...

Whirlpool 8531288 Dishwasher Silverware Basket

Whirlpool 8531288 Dishwasher Silverware Basket
As Described
Product received was exactly as described. 4 stars because "I don't love it'', I simply like it. It does the job.

Good replacement
Whirlpool should send a spare to the customer for the basket. The bottom of the basket had holes within the first 2 years and this was a good replacement for the damaged silverware basket.

Replaced identical dishwasher basket
Looked up the number of the old basket and ordered a new one. Very easy! However, it is a pity that these baskets break down so quickly. The last one only lasted 3 years.

Kitchenaid KUDS30IXWH Superba Series Dishwasher

Kitchenaid KUDS30IXWH Superba Series Dishwasher

Kitchenaid KUDS30IXWH Superba Series Dishwasher
If this dishwasher were a man, I would marry it!
I have owned this dishwasher for about eight months and I love it. I cannot believe how happy one can be just because they have a machine that makes the dishes sanitized and sparkling! I replaced an old GE Profile dishwasher and what a difference. The Kitchenaid dishwasher holds A LOT of dishes and has adjustable features on the top and bottom racks that allow you to load large, oversized pieces. There are things that I could not fit into my old dishwasher that easily fit in this one. You can even lower or remove the top rack if you need to. When friends come over, I show them the features like it's a new car or something!

I use the sanitize feature with every load I do. It takes two hours and 25 minutes to complete the wash cycle, but who cares. Your dishes will be cleaned to standards set by the health dept that restaurants are supposed follow to kill bacteria. This thing heats up and kills bacteria so well, that if I start it before I leave for work at 9 am, the dishes...

Cleans but design failures are frustrating
I purchased this dishwasher after spending some time researching for a model that cleans well, and is quiet. This Kitchenaid model fit, and although expensive, I felt it would be worth the extra cash for the quality and features it had. The bottom rack is laid out well and the silverware holder has worked ok. We have had to put twisty ties on the silverware holder to keep the plastic tops on it. After owning it for 2 years, I have found it cleans well without the noise. I am very happy with the performance.

The issue I have was the poor design of the upper dish rack, the front panel and door seals. On the upper dish rack, the wheels are held on by some cheap plastic (Premium adjusters with SatinGlide). All four wheels have broken and while Kitchenaid replaced them in the first 3 months, they have failed again while out of warranty. Cost will be about $60 for replacement. About a year after my purchase, the dishwasher started to leak a little bit in the front. The...

Unreliable; poor customer service from KitchenAid
After careful review and study of dishwashers, my husband and I selected this model. The features we liked were the 4 sprayers, the hard food dispenser and stainless steel tub. First machine arrived damaged/defective. Door would not open and close properly. Returned before installation. A week later, the replacement arrived. Installed, and it was working beautifully and acutally cleaning dishes!!! Something we had not experience for the last five years with our prior dishwasher (GE).

Last week, the dishwasher stopped working. Control panel does not seem to be functioning, and the machine will not shut off. Repairman came today, but did not have parts. It will take a week to get parts. I called Kitchenaid and spoke to a supervisor to ask if they had heard of a company called FEDEX!! Unwilling to express parts. Purchased machine less than 60 days ago, so we are ripping it out and returning it.

Now to begin our search for yet another potentially good...

Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments

Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments

Cuisinart CSB-77 Smart Stick Hand Blender with Whisk and Chopper Attachments
Cool Kitchen Gadget!!
I purchased this product mainly for making soups. I hated having to put soup into the blender in bathces to puree it. Not only was this time consuming but I usually made a huge mess in the process. Well this product solved that problem for me. I made a soup the other day and used this product to blend the soup right in the pot! While I was nervous about "only" being able to run the blender continuously for 50 seconds, I learned that 50 seconds is more than enough time for this item to blend a whole pot of soup, in fact it only took about 15-20 seconds.

I have also used the grinder attachment to mince fresh parsley, and have also made a smoothie using the included measuring cup and blender.

Although the manual states that you cannot run this product for more than a certain amount of time (depending on the function), I have learned that this product can accomplish those tasks easily in the time frames given (it took 5 seconds to mince my parsley!)...

Excellent Warranty Service
I have had this blender for about a year and have used it weekly for smoothies with great success. Last week I was using it to chop basil and the blade in the chopping bowl sliced into the side of the plastic bowl. Miraculously I kept and located the manual that said it had a 3 year warranty. I called the number, which told me to call another number, I was on hold a very short time. I read the customer service representative my item's serial number and she sent me a new bowl and suggested that she also include a new blade in case my blade had been damaged. Way to go cuisinart.

Rubbish!
I would like to give it no stars but that's an option on Amazon rating. Bought in May (but only used about 4 times since then as we were away for a long summer). Used to blend tinned tomatoes. Worked fine couple of times then blades in blender, chopper and whisk turned very slowly and seemed to squeal when motor ran. Called up Cuisinart and they sent me a new kit. Same thing happened. So I called again and they sent me chopper lid and whisk attachment (only blender had worked in new kit). Now I've the handstick that works very well (for how long though?), chopper grinder doesn't work at all and neither does whisk. I looked inside the motor shaft and these "stripped teeth" everyone in the one-star category keeps on about are also looking that way in mine (I hadn't looked in the original one I sent back). Unfortunately I hadn't read the bad reviews before I bought it, and it seems that this "teeth stripping" is a continual problem with most of their hand sticks. I've already spent $20...

Bosch SHE43R55UC

Bosch SHE43R55UC

Bosch SHE43R55UC
Shhhhh
Bought from a local retailer, but love it enough to share a review:

Our house is designed with the kitchen right out in the open, right in the middle. We like it. What we didn't like is the noise our former dishwasher made, a "quiet series" dishwasher. Or the noise from the one before that, also billed as being very quiet. This Bosch? It really is quiet, except for the barest announcement when the cycle changes. Thanks to the light at the base, you know it's on. But you wouldn't know from listening unless you press your ear against the door.

Even though this dishwasher and our previous models shared the same interior size, this one does hold more on two racks thanks to a better layout of the tines.

Our former machines utilized the age old heating element on the floor of the interior to heat the water. And over time, that heating element became calcified or coated with dishwashing soap or something -- who knows. I know that over time, our machine did a...

Does the Job
Whisper quiet, sparkling dishes, VERY energy efficient---what else could you want?

(As a cynical geezer, I usually equate "energy efficient" with "crappy performance", just as "diet", "low calorie", "low fat" and "organic" are just empty words to convince naive buyers to pay more for lower quality foods. But that doesn't apply in this case. The Bosch is both energy efficient and works very well).

HOW WELL DOES IT WORK?
> Can it clean fine china and crystal without damage? Absolutely.
> Even though I usually load the Bosch to it's maximum capacity, I use the "normal" cycle, without "sanitize" (hotter water), with the normal Powertabs (not the super detergent tablets), and without a rinse agent---the next-to-lightest wash combination available, and my dishes are always perfectly clean and sparkling. But, I don't load the dishwater with filthy dishes. I let dishes with baked-on or dried-on food soak a while in the sink before loading in the...

Great replacement for a builder-quality unit
Thirteen years ago, our new house came with a decent but no-frills dishwasher - AKA - Builder quality. It worked for all those years but eventually, when we decided to go with all stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, we searched hard for a top quality replacement. Using several sources and with the assistance of an outstanding sales rep at our local Sears (Bob in Rockaway, NJ) we settled on this Bosch unit. While it is not the top Bosch model, it has many more features than our original and all we really need.

The two we are loving after a few months of hard use are the stainless steel tub and the whisper quiet operation. Seeing the gleaming stainless "tub" after a wash tells me that the dishes are really clean and sanitized. Also very important - Our old unit was so loud that you had to go into another room to use the phone. How quiet is the Bosch? So quiet that they have to provide a small red light projected on the floor (our cat loves it) to remind you that it's...

Breville 800BLXL Die-Cast Hemisphere 2-Speed Blender with 67-Ounce Polycarbonate Jar

Breville 800BLXL Die-Cast Hemisphere 2-Speed Blender with 67-Ounce Polycarbonate Jar
I love this blender
After reading the previous reviews, I was a bit leery of buying this blender. I wanted the best, period. First, this is in my opinion the best looking and I leave it on my counter top, replacing a Kitchen Aid which I gave to my sister.

The first thing I did was to fill the jug with ice to the top. I pushed the ice button and within a few minutes, I had finely grated snow with no large chunks at all. It would have been a perfect snow cone. I went on to put in Strawberries, soft tofu, Yogurt, Soy vanilla ice cream, honey and a little non fat milk on top of the shaved ice. It made one of the best smoothies I have ever had. I have had numerous complements from my wife and neighbors on the smoothies this produces.

I also put in a whole large sweet onion quartered and three cups of large skinned tomatoes, some mushrooms, corn and whole garlic cloves, along with some essential seasoning and made a perfect tomato soup. The consistency was creamy and consistently...

More affordable alternative to a BlendTec or Vitamix
I recently picked this blender up when my old blender, a Kitchenaid KSB560OB 5-Speed Ultra Power Series Blender that was about 3 years old died. In defense of the old blender a small piece of chicken bone inadvertantly went in when I was blending homemade dog food so I consider it my fault. However, rather than fixing the broken coupler I decided it was a good opportunity to upgrade to something with more power.

My dream blender was a vitamix since I had heard rave reviews about it from friends who owned one. However after analyzing the cost I realized I didn't need my blender to do as many things as it could promise given I already have a juicer, food processor, immersion blender and spice grinder at home. After reading about this blender it seemed like the perfect alterative. It's still VERY well made and he design of the jar allows it to blend frozen fruit with ease, but it's about half the price of a vitamix.

So far I've used it to make lots of...

Good power but disappointed in blending performance
Purchased this blender after two bearing failures on two different Cuisinart blenders over a two year period. Make smoothies almost every morning using fresh and frozen fruit and the Cuisinart was marginal on power when using frozen fruit. The Breville 800BLXL has sufficient power but has a greater tendency to create an air pocket around the blade mechanism than the Cuisinart. This then requires stopping the machine and poking something down to the bottom to release the air. If it wasn't for this deficiency I would give it a full 5 star rating.

The Breville Die-Cast Hemisphere Blender turns ice into snow with a powerful 1000 watt motor! The patented bowl/blade system utilizes a large, semicircular shredding blade positioned to hug the uniquely shaped bowl. Because of this design, there are no still zones around the blades and the results are finely shredded, consistent ingredients. The 67 ounce/2 liter polycarbonate pitcher is designed to resist fogginess and cracking. The baked enamel measurements provide for sharp viewing and accurate measurement. The base control pad is designed without crevices for easy cleaning and gives you precise control over the motor's 2-speed settings and pulse functions. The base is die-cast stainless. The pitcher is dishwasher safe. It has a Breville assist lid and plug for easy removal.

  • 1000-watt blender offers push-button controls and 2 speed settings plus pulse
  • Extra-wide stainless-steel blades hug bowl to prevent food from being trapped
  • Stainless-steel and polymer motor helps eliminate friction and create quiet blending
  • Dishwasher-safe 67-ounce polycarbonate jar with measurement markings and leak-free lid
  • Measures 7 by 7-3/4 by 18-1/4 inches; 1-year limited warranty

Kitchen Aid 30 In. Black Electric Range - KESS907SBL

Kitchen Aid 30 In. Black Electric Range - KESS907SBL
KitchenAid electric range, Model KESS907SSS - our mistake
KITCHENAID RANGE COOLING FAN
1. This KitchenAid cooling fan starts blowing as soon as the oven is turned on, and runs until the oven is turned off, or the convection mode cool down completes.
2. This range cooling fan exhaust area is 8" above the floor and 27" long and reaches at least 5.5 feet out from the front of the range.
3. Anyone in the kitchen while this KitchenAid oven is in use, is subject to a "breeze" on lower legs and feet.
4. The KitchenAid fan exhaust breeze may not be as aggravating in cooler weather, but possibly will be a major issue in warmer weather.
5. Based on friends with competitor ranges, this KitchenAid cooling fan is louder, more annoying, and distracting than those models. We had to increase the volume of the TV in the kitchen to compensate for the fan noise.

After using the oven just once, we told the dealer that we wanted to exchange it for a different manufacturers' range. We would not recommend that this...

Happy with our KitchenAid KESS907SSS
We purchased our stove a few weeks ago and conclude the following:

Two of these reviews are on several sites and I suspect that someone has an ax to grind and is on a writing campaign.

If you try real hard you can feel air coming from the front vents, but it is barely noticeable. Most stoves have front vents and this is not uncommon.

I agree that the angle of the controls could be a little less vertical, but that would leave them more exposed to spills. You can opt for a free standing stove and reach over hot pots to get to the controls.
You would have to be a contortionist to turn the knob and turn on a burner with your hip.

The fan is not any louder than our very expensive Dacor was. Now that was a piece of junk.

We only cook food so nothing condensates so bad that it drips to the floor.

The top is no harder to clean than any other smooth top range. Razor blades are a fact of life with any smooth top and food...

fantastic stove
Looks great. Was concerned with the objections that people wrote online:
--fan: not that loud. Almost everything is louder in the kitchen.
--controls: they do bump on/off easily. solution, lock the controls (which is easy to do and probably the best option for every hip-level appliance when you have toddlers).
--functionality: fantastic so far.

Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt

Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt

Braun Multiquick 3 K650 Kitchen Machine 600 Watt
Great Food Processor!
About 25 years ago, my wife and I bought a Braun food processor. We used it for over 23 years, replacing the bowl once and the stalks that held the cutting disks about three times. We only gave it up when it started leaking oil. We replaced it with a Cuisinart that didn't have multiple speeds and did have a complicated and largely inscrutable lid locking system that ultimately failed--we needed to stick a screwdriver into the lid to make it work. So we found this Braun, which is similar to but an improvement on our old one, and it's great! Very lightweight, the bowl and lid simply snap into place, there's infinite speed control, and the cutting disks and stalks have been redesigned to be much sturdier. Beats Cuisinart by a mile.

Excelent food processor
We found the Braun CombiMax K-650 so much better than any Cuisinart.
It has 14 speeds.
The Cuisinart has only one speed. (The dough switch provides more power but with the same speed).
The bowl of the (eight cups) Braun is as big as the "11 cup" Cuisinart.
The center shaft inside the bowl is sealed so you can fill it with fluid to a higher level.
The bowl cover of the Braun can be removed with a light twist. It is much more complicated on the Cuisinart.
Also, removing the bowl is much easier on the Braun.
This food processor is so much easy to use and we use it almost every day.

I made a good choice. Thank you other reviewers!
Hey! Are you pondering buying this? If yes, read this short review and say it was helpful. :-) And then, look at the other positive reviews and click the box. Why do I say do this? Because this is a very solid food processor, so spread the word. Mine arrived today. I spread the parts on the table. I gave it all the engineer's once-over. All parts clicked in place properly. I said to my son "look at this... most food processors have a line on the bowl that says 'maximum fill level' for liquids. Do you see why? Because the mechanism can only take a small amount of liquid before it overflows and you have a mess on your hands. Look: see that the blade control is sealed? I can fill this to the top. It appears to be a couple quarts. I've never before owned a food processor that can do that."

We tinkered with the parts. It's not just chopping and slicing and bread blade. It's also got mixer for egg whites or whipped cream. Dear Lord! Now my Kitchen Aid and food...

Breville vs. Cuisinart Chop Wars!
2012 Year End Update: I continue to use and appreciate both the Breville food processor and the Cuisinart. I do reach for the Cuisinart more frequently than the Breville but that is mainly because I use it to make some sort of dough on an almost daily basis. Please see the comments section of this review for a discussion of the cheese grating issues and the resolution for the Breville Food Processor. (Kudos to the company for resolving this issue.) Also please note, I have added a Cleaning section to this review based on issues with the Cuisinart food processor lid.

Update:

Cuisinart - After 4 months of regular use I have to say that this has become my "go to" machine. I typically need to make some sort of dough with my meals and so I use the large bowl for my dough and then the smaller bowls for slicing and dicing. My only complaints about this machine are that sometimes there is spill over from the smaller bowls to the larger bowls when processing the food and...

Just in time for Thanksgiving prep.
The Breville Sous Chef is a powerful food processor. It has a 1200 watt motor, a size found in many restaurant food processors. My son-in-law has been a kitchen manager at several restaurants. He said this is very similar to the Hobart food processors they used to chop a case of onions at one time. He was impressed with the 25 year warranty on the motor. He did say they would have to replace the bowl every couple of years in the restaurant from running it through the dishwasher. Breville did say in the instruction book to not use the dishwasher regularly on the bowl, so that sounds like the restaurant's experience with theirs.

Breville has included several safety features in their machine. It will not turn on if the bowl, lid, and large shoot pusher are not in place. They have a finger hole on the plug to help you remove it safely from the outlet. The cord is also retractable for storage. The instructions frequently remind you to be careful with the blades and...

Will Burn Your Hand!
I love the features of this food processor. I was replacing a Black and Decker unit I picked up at Walmart that was about ten years old, so the step up to this model was more of a leap. The two bowls (the big one is huge, while the little one is perfect for tiny jobs), the giant chute, and the slicing blade that changes the width of a slice with a simple twist, are all favorite features of mine. I also like the storage case, the look of the machine(the base is easy to keep clean), and the way the large bowl has no hole through which contents can spill.

BUT, there are drawbacks, and a few of these would be enough to have me looking at alternative models were I to shop for a processor in the future.

First, and most troublesome (even dangerous), is that the metal spindle at the top of the blade attachments gets HOT. I mean burn-your-hand when you acccidentally touch it, hot. And you can't help but touch it. If you run the unit for more than a couple of minutes, the...

Why the Breville Sous Chef Food Processor?

Every Breville product begins with a simple moment of brilliance. The Breville Sous Chef began with the observation that the food comes in many different shapes and sizes, making it difficult for one machine to consistently cut all ingredients into the optimal size pieces. So how do you make sure that you get the perfect size for what you’re cooking?

The Breville Sous Chef solves this problem with its unique design. Its wide feed chute makes it possible to slice vegetables of all shapes and sizes, while numerous disc and blade options makes it easy to get perfect results, any way you slice it.

Combining Convenience and Versatility: the greatest sliced thing since bread

Food processors are supposed to make food prep easier, not more frustrating. The Breville Sous Chef has a 5.5” Super Wide Feed Chute that reduces the need to pre-cut most fruits & veggies, saving you time.

The Breville Sous Chef comes with a set of 8 discs and blades for numerous prep options, all housed in a convenient accessory storage. The discs include a variable slicing disc that can be set to 24 different slicing settings so you can customize the thickness of your slices from a paper thin 0.3mm all the way up to a thick 8.0mm. Other discs in the set include a julienne disc, a French fry cutting disc, a whisking disc, and a reversible shredding disc, while the blades include a micro-serrated universal S blade, a dough blade for kneading and combining ingredients, and a mini blade for use with mini-bowl.

The Breville Sous Chef includes two bowls, a large 16 cup processing bowl and a 2.5 cup mini processing bowl, for convenient processing no matter what size portions you’re chopping. The 16-cup option allows you to blend up large servings of soup or dough, while the mini processing bowl is perfect for processing small amounts of sauces or nuts.

Combining slicing options and two size choices with the convenience of the wide mouth chute, it is no wonder that the Breville Sous Chef was rated the best food processor in 2012 by a leading American reviewer of products.

Product Features

  1. Small Food Pusher: for improved processing control of smaller ingredients. It also doubles as a measuring cup for adding/measuring ingredients. The food processor will run continually whether the small pusher is in or out
  2. Large Food Pusher for pushing food down the feed chute. The food processor will not start unless the large pusher is in place correctly.
  3. Feed Chute Safety System: prevents the motor from operating unless the bowl, lid and large food pusher are correctly locked in position.
  4. Super Wide Feed Chute so large ingredients don’t have to be chopped before being fed into the food processor
  5. Silicone Seal: reduces the chance of leakage while processing large volumes of liquid ingredients.
  6. Processing Bowl: 16 cup bowl for dry ingredients and 12 cups for liquid (wet ingredients). The processing bowl locks onto the motor base.
  7. LCD Display with Count-Up & Count-Down Timer: used to set desired time required for processing. Can count up or down, stopping the processor once the time is reached in count down mode.
  8. Solid Die-Cast Metal Base
  9. Direct Drive Motor: with safety braking system.
  10. Non-Skid Rubber Feet: for added safety and stability.
  11. All parts that come in contact with food are BPA free.

Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer, White

Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer, White

Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer, White
Excellent and Reliable Mixer
I own the Cuisinart Power Advantage 5-Speed Handheld Mixer since early April 2009 and I am quiet happy with it thus far. In all fairness, this is my second handheld mixer and my previous mixer (Proctor Silex 62535 Bowl Rest 5-Speed Mixer, White) was a very weak mixer, which simply did not have the power to mix any semi-thick dough. This Cuisinart mixer has significantly more power (220 Watts) and has little trouble mixing most dough, excluding bread dough of course. This mixer has an automatic feedback mechanism which was the main reason I decided to purchase it. Unlike most mixers which supply their motors with different electric powers at different settings, this mixer supplies electric power partially based on the mixing speeds. In other words, it will supply an extra burst of power to the motor when the mixing speed is slow, like mixing tough dough. It only does so temporarily to avoid over heating the...

No Slow Speed!
I got this mixer after my old one died. I dislike the "low" speed as it is almost as fast as my old mixer's high speed! For me, the purpose of a hand mixer is to mix light products, such as puddings and cakes and things that require more than a whisk. A low speed is needed to start out, and there is no low speed on this model. This is a major drawback as far as I am concerned. Aside from that, it is a lovely mixer, but not completely useful!

A handy and favorite kitchen tool, and quite multipurpose!
Bought this Cuisinart HM-50 Power Advantage 5-Speed Hand Mixer after another from a different manufacturer had conked out, even after simple light use. Decided then to go for a quality replacement, and haven't regretted this choice at all, plus it's quite handy... get it?

Bad pun aside, this kitchen appliance is a favorite, and has had a lot of use. Have found its five speeds to be quite adequate, and its 220-Watt motor to be up to the task. If you want more power and a greater range of speeds, there is the Cuisinart HM-70 Power Advantage 7-Speed Hand Mixer, which is also highly rated.

This handy (here we go again) appliance easily mixes even heavier ingredients than one might expect, and the one-touch slide control changes speeds easily. The supplied extra-long beaters (more on these in a moment) eject easily, and clean...

You’ll love the single slide control and a swivel cord that stays out of your way. The 200-Watt powerful motor with automatic feedback can perform any mixing task. Best of all, cleanup is easy. We’ve put some of our favorite recipes in the back of this book, so enjoy using your new mixer! What could be better?

KitchenAid Superba Architect Series II KUDS35FXBL
DW and customer service stink
Our Kitchenaid dishwasher has been a constant disappointment. We spent about $500 for repairs to things documented as known problems online, and have only kept it because I learned to fix it myself and it hasn't fully died, though it doesn't clean dishes well, and regularly malfunctions by getting clogged with minor debris and the door popping open during cycle.

Warranty is shot, customer service lacking, and products shoddy. Will not buy a Kitchenaid again.

The ProScrub ® Option is an ideal solution for casserole dishes and other large platters that require concentrated cleaning of carmelized or baked-on messes. The wash system delivers better results (combined wash and dry results of leading premium brands' highest MSRP models; dry testing conducted without rinse aid).

  • The ProScrub(R) Option helps eliminate soaking or pre-scrubbing by removing stubborn messes like seared or baked-on foods.
  • Fully integrated console forms clean lines and integrates with other appliances by concealing the control panel.
  • Shelves on either side of the upper rack that fold down to accommodate items such as cups. Each shelf includes molded indents to keep stemware in place.
  • The Heat Dry option delivers faster and more complete drying by activating a recessed heating element during the drying cycle.
  • Premium adjusters make it easy to raise or lower the upper rack for optimal loading space, and the SatinGlide(R) System allows the rack to move almost effortlessly.

Hamilton Beach 70610 500-Watt Food Processor, White

Hamilton Beach 70610 500-Watt Food Processor, White

Hamilton Beach 70610 500-Watt Food Processor, White
The best value in food processors
I have been through four food processors in the last few years. The Hamilton Beach 70610 is my latest. Not only do I like it the best of any I have used, it is far less expensive than my last one. Prior to the Hamilton Beach 70610 I purchased the very highly rated (by Amazon reviews) Braun K650. I think the Braun is well made. And it is said to be a bargain compared to the Cuisinart and KitchenAid models that cost twice as much. I wanted to love the Braun. However, in my experience the Hamilton Beach 70610 tops the Braun in many critical areas. And the HB costs a small fraction as much as the Braun.

Advantages of the Hamilton Beach 70610:
---------------------------------
1. Easier to clean than any other food processor I have seen.

2. Does a much better job chopping the vegetables I frequently use to the size I want them to be. I prepare a lot of leafy greens. Many food processors never get them right. One is left with either large unchopped pieces or,...

Excellent Processor
This is an excellent food processor. It has two speeds, plus pulse control so it allows for better precision when chopping. Some processors turn everything to puree, but with this one you have better control over how finely things are chopped. The grater/slicer disk produces very uniform pieces and is really fast! While running it's not too loud either. I highly recommend this processor, especially considering the reasonable price.

Great Value
This is excellent with every processing task, and I compared it to both my KitchenAid and Braun models. The motor is very powerful, the design is simple, and all the parts are very easy to clean. Check your local WalMart if you have one closeby because this sells for only $34.96 there.

Full size 10-cup Food processor - for large batch processing Has 525 watts of power with 2 speeds plus pulse speed option for maximum versatility- 2 functions- slcing- shredding, from a reversible stainless disc . InSinkErator Evolution Cover Control 3/4 HP Household Garbage Disposer

InSinkErator Evolution Cover Control 3/4 HP Household Garbage Disposer

InSinkErator Evolution Cover Control 3/4 HP Household Garbage Disposer
Expensive, but still a good value
Our previous 3/4 hp In-Sink-Erator finally wore out after 20 years of service. We loved the cover-control on the old model, and I was shocked to find that it's such a rare feature. This high-end unit had it, and I wouldn't have been nearly as happy with wall-switch versions, which we've had in the past. The cover control means you never have to worry about you (or a guest) turning on the disposer when intending to turn on a light. No worries about using an electrical switch with wet hands. Kids are less likely to overload the unit by force-feeding, because the cover is in place when the unit is turned on.

I had never installed a sink disposer before, but I had installed our dishwasher and done similar tasks around the house. Instructions were clear, and I did the whole thing in a couple of hours replacing everything including the drain flange (included with the disposer).

This unit is whisper-quiet, and the 3/4 hp motor never breaks a sweat.

As I...

Buyer Beware if Your Sink is Cast Iron
I've had insinkerators in my last two homes. Very convenient. When mine broke down, I went with the new model which has a magnetic on/off switch. Seemed very advanced. Also great price on Amazon. Warranteed for 7 years in home. HOWEVER, after it was installed by the plumber, you couldn't get the thing to turn off. Called for service. They agreed to come but said if it isn't the device, they would charge $250 for a service call (as much as I paid for the insinkerator). Called back the plumber. He called service. Apparently, because my white sink is cast iron, it needs a different part to fit in the drain. Service knew the part number without looking it up. The part, which is an inch or so longer than the one that comes with the insinkerator, cost $75! That's one third the price of the whole shebang. Unfortunately I was too far down the road to turn back. Given the additional expense, the fancy magnetic switch and whisper quiet operation have lost some of their luster. At...

Expensive But Worth It
I'm impressed at the obvious build quality of the cover control model. It replaced an 18 year old Insinkerator cover control model that suddenly wouldn't turn off and became a shock hazard. This Evolution model snapped right into the old mount (real time-saver) and took about 2 hours to complete including minor plumbing changes. This is my 5th disposal install over the years and was the simplest. It's expensive, but cheaper at Amazon.com than some other online retailers I looked at.

Cover-Activated Control for Safe Operation
Unlike other food waste disposers operated with a wall switch, the Evolution Cover Control includes a cover that enables safe, covered operation and lets you turn the disposer on and off. With this Magnetic CoverStart Activation system, you just place food waste into the disposer, turn on the cold water, and place the cover into the sink opening where magnets--two in the cover and two on the disposer--align to activate the machine.

Cutting-Edge Grind Technology to Liquefy Foods
Along with a rugged steel construction and a powerful 3/4 horsepower motor, the Evolution Cover Control food waste disposer features a MultiGrind system that virtually liquefies food matter before it flows safely to your sewage system. This two-stage grind technology combines a GrindShear ring and a Tri-Action Lug system to finely grind foods and prevent clogs and jams. As a result, you can use the disposer to grind difficult food waste that you wouldn't normally put in a disposer, such as celery and potato peels.

Sound-Reducing Technology for Quiet Operation
Thanks to InSinkErator's SoundSeal Plus system and Quiet Collar sink baffle, the Evolution Cover Control is at least 60 percent quieter than typical food waste disposers--making it possible to hold a conversation, using normal voices, with the disposer running in the same room. This patented technology includes superior insulation around the motor, an anti-vibration sink mount, and an anti-vibration tailpipe to prevent sound transmission from vibrations. The patented sink baffle also helps prevent sound from escaping the throat of the disposer.

Quick Lock Sink Mount for Easy Installation
Like all InSinkErator food waste disposers, to simplify the installation process, the Evolution Cover Control sports a three-bolt Quick Lock sink mount made of stainless steel. If you have an existing food waste disposer, you can likely just twist it off and twist on the Evolution Cover Control. With Quick Lock, replacing one InSinkErator disposer with another is easy.

Economical and
Compared with other installed kitchen appliances, food waste disposers cost little to operate. InSinkErator Evolution disposers use an average of just one gallon of water per person per day, or less than 1 percent of a typical household's total water consumption. They also use an average of three to four kilowatt hours of electricity per year, which typically amounts to less than 50 cents.

In addition, food waste disposers offer an alternative to simply sticking food waste in the garbage can. For those on a sewage system, grinding the waste with the disposer sends it to the local municipal wastewater treatment plant, where it can often processed into bio-solids for use as fertilizer or recycled to produce methane, a renewable source of energy.

Product Information
This product measures 14 by 11 by 14 inches (H x W x D) and weighs 22 pounds. It's designed to be hard-wired to your home's electrical system. With a grind chamber capacity of 40 ounces, the disposer can process a greater volume of food waste than standard disposers.
