I recently bought a lg washer and dryer(front loaders) and i too was having really bad water surges.. I looked it up on the web to see how to solve the problem.. found out i needed a water hammer arrestor.. went to lowes bought one for $10.00 came home and installed it,,,WORKS PERFECT,,NO MORE SURGES,, took me about 5 min to install.. great product and would highly recommend to anyone who is having this problem,, HONESTLY i did not even know this problem existed until one day i had the washer on,, pulled out my refrid, to clean behind it and saw my water line to the ice maker jumping when the washer was filling,,,not good for pipes i thought,, so i solved the problem!!!!

This "water hammer" arrester is specifically built to be attached to water lines feeding refrigerators and icemakers.

If your pipes "bang" after you get water from your fridge or when your icemaker finishes filling this is exactly the part you need.

We had a very bad water hammer problem with our fridge and this (made in the USA) product fixed it instantly. It takes just a few minutes to install and can easily be done by a homeowner who can handle a pair of wrenches.

While other arresters require a plumber and cutting the pipes, this simply attaches in between the fridge and the wall shutoff.

What more can I say? I took no more than 15 minutes for me to install this inline to my dishwasher water line.

Afterwards, no more clunking water hammer sound. I was amazed!

This version works specifically for the diameter water line it was specified for (3/8"). Inside the unit, which you cannot open up, is a pressurized disc in the long chamber. What this does is when your appliance quickly shuts off, the reverberating water pressure is sent into the arrestor. It pushes up against the disc, acting very much like a shock absorber. Because it functions this way, it prevents your water pipes from bearing the brunt of the pressure and knocking inside the walls.

By the way, having water hammer occurring is not a good thing: it will eventually loosen the pipe fittings and may cause a very expensive leak within your walls that you'll have to tear it down to get at.

Bought to use in a Maytag Mgde500 dryer (performance series).

It was easy to put together (what you see in the pic is 2 separate pieces). And, although I apparently had chosen the correct "holes" for the bracket the first time, I also tried a different set, just in case.

Once assembled, it simply sits in your dryer, with the wire bracket in the back and the plastic tray resting on the front/lint screen area.

The dryer can then spin "around" it, while the rack remains stationary. My old dryer, a Maytag Ensignia (super awesome, but not stackable) had one, and since I had bought it used, the previous owner showed me how it worked. That previous knowledge was helpful in using this new one for the first time.

This new rack fits less snugly, and the front part does not rest evenly in its place. Maybe if I put something really heavy across it and dried it at a high heat for a long tine, it might sit better. Regardless, it works with my machine, as...

Would not purchase again. This product does not really fit my Whirlpool Duet washer and additionally it came with a broken plastic part.

Burned Burnt Kenmore Kitchenaid Whirlpool Maytag Control Board
Mine is a Kenmore Elite. After 7 years and countless dish loads, the board overheated at the 3 pin connector. The board failed and blew the thermal fuse also. I replaced the board and fuse, and replaced the connector with insulated spade connectors. This is a design problem with these dishwashers and the power or load connectors are not robust enough to last the lifetime of the dishwasher. I am sure mine will last another 7 years.

I ordered this part, but I should have ordered a different part.
This control board worked fine, but my dishwasher still had the same problem with LEDs flashing eraticly. I needed to order a new touch panel to actually fix the problem. My mistake. Now I have a spare control board.

I first bought this computer, and that wasn't the problem. I then replaced the push button panel and thaty fixed the dishwasher. The computer and panel both work great now.
